Exploring layout and typography for my business card & website. A big influence is the card below, the yellow and black reminds me of graphic design regarding D&AD.

Channel 4: Street Art

Over the summer I wanted to draw more, as when I was looking through my work it was mainly typography. I decided to find a brief which gave me the freedom to experiment with illustration. I didn't enter the competition as I found the brief pretty late.

The design process did take along time, but I was happy with the finally outcome. This design approach looks really nice and has a street contemporary look to it, maybe If I have a similar brief in my third year I would explore this design approach more.

I think to improve the design would to be to silk screen it onto texture stock. This is something I could explore in my third year.

Shop? - Just keep it as simple as possible.


Quite like the first page of the projects with the names on, then images next and previous for the rest of the work.

The website is clean, easy to navigate. I think when using blogger it is easy to keep changing the design because the design I like is always changing, but if I can keep it simple and clean I cant go wrong and I'll just need to keep updating my work.

Building my own website

As part of the YCN ceremony, I would like to have a website and promotional material together, so when meeting other designers I can give them a card to refer them to my website. From this I will try and gain a placement or feedback on my work.
